The personality of a product, a service, a place, a person – that’s a brand. Brand expression is the manifestation of the idea. Naming, design, logos, colors, language, ways of doing business – these are all brand expressions, ways of positioning an entity in a marketplace.

I now have almost 20,000 Linkedin connections which I use at scale.

Out of the box ideas are very powerful. 

We once sent saplings to green journalists to promote the ideas that our company was saving trees. Downloading our app was named the #1 way to be green on Earth Day.

Events

Real world and virtual events are very effective at building strong relationships and a positive perception of the people at a company. Sponsored webinars, in house webinars, virtual summits, lunch and learns, conferences – it all works.

Email

Spam no longer works. Combining email with other marketing mechanics does work.

Lead nurturing, email followups to cold calls, newsletters are all effective marketing ingredients.
